Wire and plastic tying systems
for demanding baling operations

Accent supplies equipment for automatically tying and containing bales using steel wire, polyester strapping and polypropylene strapping. The range covers dedicated wire tying, plastic strapping, a dual tying system and a solid waste containment solution.

Each system addresses a different operating requirement. Some customers need reliable automatic wire tying for high-volume recyclable material, while others process RDF or other material streams where plastic strapping is preferred. Sites handling multiple streams may need the flexibility to switch between wire and plastic. Accent's equipment portfolio is structured around those different needs.

Accent 470 Wire Tier

The Accent 470 is a hydraulically operated automatic wire tier designed for double-ram balers. The system uses 12-gauge high-tensile galvanised wire and is built for reliable performance with minimal adjustment. Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical settings are fixed at the factory.

The open design gives access to components for cleaning and inspection, while the removable parts cartridge and swing-up knotter cover are designed to simplify maintenance. The complete knotter assembly can be dismantled in under one hour when required.

Accent Select Dual Tying System

The Accent Select places a wire-tying head and a plastic-tying head on the same frame. Operators select the required material through a touchscreen, allowing the system to change between wire and plastic without a mechanical changeover.

This makes the system relevant for sites that handle both recyclable materials and waste-to-energy applications. It is designed for double-ram balers and can be retrofitted to replace an existing wire or plastic tying system where the configuration allows.

HDH Poly Strapping System

The HDH Poly Strapping System uses a proven heavy-duty strapping head and can run polyester or polypropylene plastic strapping. Its all-steel track is mounted to the frame and custom-sized to the baler. A thermo-electrical heat seal with digital temperature control completes the strap around the bale.

The system is particularly suited to RDF applications and can be combined with the Accent 470 for operations that require both plastic and steel tying on the same site.

Accent EnviroBale

EnviroBale addresses a different part of the process: containment rather than conventional wire or strap tying alone. It is designed to enclose baled solid waste inside a dedicated bag, reducing material fall-out during handling and transport.

Used with double-ram balers, the bale is ejected into the EnviroBale nozzle and then pushed into the bag by the following bale. The contained bale can then be loaded for transport to landfill.

Matching the system to the baler

Selecting tying equipment starts with the baler and the material stream. Baler configuration, current tying system, required tying material and the downstream process all influence which system is appropriate. Retrofit projects also require a review of the existing machine and installation requirements.

Accent can assess the relevant equipment options and identify whether a dedicated wire tier, plastic strapping system, dual system or containment solution best fits the operation.
