Heavy-duty plastic strapping for demanding baling applications
The Accent HDH Poly Strapping System is a heavy-duty bale tying solution that can run either polyester or polypropylene plastic strapping. The system uses a proven strapping head, an all-steel track and a thermo-electrical heat seal to secure the strap around the bale.
It is particularly suited to RDF baling applications and can also be combined with the Accent 470 Wire Tier for operations that process both RDF and recyclable materials.
Polyester or polypropylene flexibility
The HDH system gives operators the flexibility to use polyester or polypropylene strapping. The appropriate material depends on the baling application, required tension and operating conditions. Polyester can be selected where higher tensile performance and tension retention are required, while polypropylene offers a lightweight and flexible alternative for suitable applications.
Using one strapping system with both material options allows the final strap specification to be chosen around the bale and process rather than the machine being restricted to one plastic material.
Custom-sized all-steel track system
The all-steel track is mounted on the frame and custom-sized to the baler. This is important because reliable strap guidance depends on the track matching the machine and the path around the bale.
The custom-sized arrangement integrates the strapping system with the baler and provides a controlled route for the strap during the tying cycle. Compatibility and installation requirements should therefore be reviewed against the specific baler configuration.
Thermo-electrical heat sealing
The HDH Poly Strapping System uses a thermo-electrical heat seal with digital temperature control. The heat-sealing process joins the plastic strap around the bale, while digital temperature control provides a defined setting for the sealing operation.
The system is compatible with plastic strapping from 1/2 to 3/4 inch in width and from 0.028 to 0.051 inch in thickness.
Combine plastic and wire tying
The HDH Poly Strapping System can be coupled with the Accent 470 Wire Tier. This configuration allows one baling operation to use plastic strapping for RDF and steel wire for recyclable materials.
For sites that handle different material streams, this provides a route to combine dedicated plastic and wire tying technology within the wider baling setup. The exact arrangement depends on the baler and facility requirements.
Key specifications
Strapping material: Polyester or polypropylene.
Width: 1/2-3/4 inch.
Thickness: 0.028-0.051 inch.
Sealing method: Thermo-electrical heat seal.
Temperature control: Digital.
Track system: All-steel, frame-mounted and custom-sized to the baler.
A system configured around the application
The HDH system is not presented as a universal one-size-fits-all strapping machine. The track is custom-sized to the baler and the plastic strap specification is selected within the supported width and thickness range. This means the equipment configuration and the consumable specification should be considered together.
For customers evaluating the system, the useful starting information is the baler make and model, material being processed, current tying method and preferred strap material. From there, Accent can discuss the frame and track arrangement, suitable polyester or polypropylene specification and whether integration with an Accent 470 is relevant.
